A satisfactory co-operation is destined to last over time.
The HK Academy, which welcomes students in an age range that goes from 5 to 18 years, was looking for suitable products to use in school, ergonomic, nice, but above all long-lasting.
Therefore they contacted Essess Designer FABBRICA as a competent partner that played a key role in the identification of possible suppliers
After an extensive and precise review Essess Designer FABBRICA selected FLÖTOTTO, a family-run company in its fourth generation producing versatile furnishing possibilities for all areas of life and learning in nurseries, schools and universities Flötotto furniture combines robust materials and a high ergonomic standard for healthy sitting, thus meeting HK Academy needs.
The choice went to the ProC line designed by Konstantin Grcic that allows movement on chairs and tables that can be easily grouped according to requirements to offer every age group the right chairs and tables to suit their height. Their colours also make it easy for them to be organised by caretakers or other hard-working helpers
The designer has embraced the idea of flexibility and configurability also for the counters, choosing triangular tables that allow both individual and group work.
All of the materials and the finishings were subjected to weeks of stress testing by the school to achieve the goal of maximum guarantee of durability. Such tests had as protagonists not only the students but also the teachers and the cleaning staff, all of whom enthusiastically approved the choice.
On the occasion of the completion of the project, Essess with Floetotto organized the event “A chair to grow with” with the intention to present to the community of designers in HK the innovative quality of the product. Konstatin Grcic has entertained the people at the party with his personal presentation via Skype.

Una soddisfacente cooperazione destinata a durare nel tempo.
La HK Academy che accoglie studenti in una fascia d’età che va dai 5 ai 18 anni ricercava prodotti idonei all’uso in una scuola, ergonomici, belli, ma soprattutto duraturi.
Si è quindi rivolta a Essess Designer FABBRICA che ha svolto un ruolo chiave nell’individuazione del partner con cui collaborare.
La scelta è ricaduta su FLÖTOTTO, un’azienda a conduzione familiare giunta ormai alla quarta generazione, con una produzione versatile e possibilità di arredo per tutti gli ambienti di vita quotidiana e di apprendimento in asili, scuole e università. Flötotto arredamento unisce materiali robusti con alti standard ergonomici, rispondendo così appieno alle esigenze della HK Academy.
Anche per quanto riguarda i banchi, il designer ha sposato l’idea della flessibilità e configurabilità scegliendo dei tavoli triangolari che permettono sia un utilizzo individuale che di gruppo se uniti.
Tutti i materiali e le finiture sono stati sottoposti per settimane a stress test da parte della scuola per raggiungere l’obiettivo della massima garanzia di durabilità. Tali test hanno visto protagonisti non solo gli studenti ma anche gli insegnanti e il personale addetto alla pulizia i quali hanno approvato con entusiasmo l’acquisto.
In occasione del completamento del progetto, Essess insieme a Floetotto ha organizzato un evento “A chair to grow with” con la volontà di presentare alla comunità di designers di HK la qualità innovativa del prodotto. Konstatin Grcic ha intrattenuto i presenti con una sua presentazione via Skype.
