International Culinary Institute (ICI) is part of this dynamic phenomenon offering training in the culinary arts from East to West.
The new campus is inspired by the shape of a salt crystal – a basic yet magical ingredient that preserves food and brings out tantalising flavours across all cuisines – with the design making use of the multifaceted forms, angular planes and juxtaposing lines characteristic of this crystalline mineral. Surrounded by various heritage buildings in Pok fu lam, the building is specially designed to harmonize with its environment.
ICI offers a wide range of quality professional culinary programs covering European, Mediterranean, American, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. Asian cuisines feature Korean, Japanese, Indian and more. It also provides wine and international theme park and event management programs.
Essess Ltd kindly thanks Mr. Graeme Reading, a VTC Honorary Fellowship recipient for giving us the opportunity to team up with ICI in turning this dream into a reality. The choices of furniture used in The Café & Chocolate Bar as well as the Wine Forum Room was specially hand selected by Essess Ltd to complement the surrounding area in the ICI complex and give an emotional feel of different cultures for the students.
Hong Kong is home to 12,000 plus restaurants, boasting Michelin-starred restaurants, Asia’s 50 Best award winners and Zagat-rated restaurants a plenty. Essess Ltd welcomes all current, past, and future students to enjoy and take in the different cultures ICI has to offer.

Il nuovo campus trae ispirazione dalla forma di un cristallo di sale – un ingrediente base con il magico potere di conservare il cibo regalando sapori allettanti in tutte le cucine del mondo – dove il design si avvale al meglio delle forme sfaccettate, piani angolari e linee di giustapposizione caratteristiche di questo minerale cristallino. Circondato da vari edifici storici a Pok fu lam, l’edificio è stato progettato appositamente per armonizzarsi con l’ambiente circostante.
