Conceived as a temporary project during 1995 Ghent Festivities, this alley has now served for years as a dynamic sketchboards, a demonstration of current street art and above all a free port for Ghent’s many graffiti artists.
The tags and pieces change on a daily basis, and sometimes the entire alley is painted out in order to serve as a blank canvas for new masterpieces.
In this rule-free zone, there is only on rule, that of the spray can – or, simply put, respect works that are better than yours!
Nato come progetto temporaneo in occasione del Ghent Festivities del 1995, questo vicolo da anni è diventato una sorta di lavagna dinamica, l’espressione dell’attuale street art e soprattutto una zona libera per i molti graffitari di Gand.
I tag e i graffiti cambiano ogni giorno e a volte l’intero vicolo viene reimbiancato per farne una nuova tela pulita per nuovi capolavori.
In questa zona senza regole c’è una sola regola che conta che è quella della bomboletta o, per metterla più semplicemente, rispetta i lavori che sono migliori dei tuoi!
